Visual Debug + Slack
Sync all the feedback with your chosen tool, streamlining the workflow and keeping project updates centralized.
The Visual Debug Slack bot can replace or be used in addition to email notifications for a variety of events happening in Visual Debug. Here is a list of the notifications that it can post to one or more Slack channels or to a specific person (DM):
- New bug report or recommendation: Receive a notification for every new bug or recommendation submitted.
- Bug marked as "Need approval": Receive a notification if a bug or recommendation is marked as "Need approval".
- Approved bug: Receive a notification if a bug or recommendation is marked as "Approved".
- Bug resolved: Receive a notification if a bug or recommendation is marked as "Resolved".
- New comments on a bug report: Receive a notification when there is a new comment on an existing bug or recommendation.
You can also choose to get instant notifications for each of the selected events or receive a once-a-day update on what has happened.
How to activate Slack for your Account
- Sign in to your account here.
- Click on Apps on your top right corner or simply visit this page.
- Activate Slack.
- Click the Add to Slack button.
- Review and authorize Visual Debug to access your Slack account.
How to configure the Slack integration for each of your project
- Sign in to your account here.
- Click on Apps on your top right corner or simply visit this page.
- Open the Project you want to configure Slack for.
- Go to the Integrations tab.
- Click on Settings for Slack.
- First thing you have to do now is to Enable it.
- Select the preferred workspace.
- ou can choose Visual Debug to post to either to one or more channels or DM to a specific person.
Others
By default, any member can install an app to connect a third-party service to their Slack workspace. If they'd like, Workspace Owners can set permissions to manage how apps work in Slack. These permissions can be adjusted whether app approval is enabled for a workspace or not.
